Roamer-KVM Quick Start

  • User: admin
  • Password: rackable

By default, the Roamer KVM module will try to contact a DHCP server in the subnet to which it is physically connected. If a DHCP server is found, it may provide a valid IP address, gateway address and net mask. Before you connect the device to your local subnet, be sure to complete the corresponding configuration of your DHCP server. We recommend you configure a fixed IP assignment to the MAC address of the Roamer KVM module. You can find the MAC address on the outside of the shipping box, and labeled on the bottom side.

  1. Plug the far right port (the roamer port ) into a network that assigns DHCP addresses
  2. Watch your DHCP logs/leases ( the mac may start with 00-20-4A )
  3. telnet to port 9999
  4. configure from there

... more to come
